The Community-Based Inclusive Development (CBID) Institute is a flagship program of the CBID Network PK Sindh and the first institute of its kind established within the nonprofit sector. It serves as a center for learning, research, technical guidance, and professional development by bringing together international experts with disabilities and experienced practitioners who contribute their knowledge and practical experience. The Institute encourages learning that connects Community-Based Rehabilitation (CBR), independent living, inclusive education, accessibility, disability rights, and other important aspects of disability-inclusive development within one practical framework.
Guided by the belief that persons with disabilities continue to face significant social and economic barriers, the Institute works to strengthen their participation, confidence, and opportunities through knowledge and capacity development. At the same time, it supports professionals, organizations, and community leaders by strengthening their skills, encouraging collaboration, promoting evidence-informed practices, and contributing to stronger organizations that can respond effectively to the diverse needs of communities across Sindh.
